Fuel & More is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to
helping keep Kittery families warm.
For those who do not qualify for town assistance, we provide help with:
-
Heating fuel (kerosene, oil, propane)
-
Wood pellets/cord wood
-
Electric heat
We assist individuals and families who exceed state-driven income guidelines, but are struggling financially. This may be someone who has had a major life-changing event, such as loss of employment, illness, or death of a family member.

Our organization is completely separate from the Town of Kittery. And we are proud to say that our revenue is generated entirely by donations from caring residents and businesses, and funds earned through grants and fundraisers. All proceeds go directly to help our Kittery neighbors.
“I was so happy to learn about Fuel & More. An unexpected illness forced me to take a leave from work, and I worried about how to take care of my family.”
What does the "More" mean in our name?

-
We work with Kittery school staff to provide winter apparel (snow pants, jackets, mittens) to children who lack these necessities.

-
We support winterization projects to keep heat in and cold out. We partner with other nonprofits, such as Habitat for Humanity, to help homeowners weatherize their homes.

-
We connect residents to resources and support, tapping into local and state programs.
